About the location

First time to attend Gărâna Fusion Festival? Don’t worry, the roads may be long but they all lead to 3 days of good  music and unique natural heritage.

The festival venue is hidden in the heart of the Western Carpathians, in the small village of Gărâna — also called Wolfsberg by the Bohemian colonists who have inhabited it until some 30 years ago.

Gărâna is situated in the Semenic Mountains, 1000 m above ground – the closest big Romanian city in Timișoara, located in the western part of Romania.

During your stay in Gărâna, you will be able to feed your hunger for good music, freedom and nature.

Any route recomended by your GPS will be ok, make sure you fully enjoy the beautiful roads along the forests and the memorable panoramas.

We recomend you to leave your car at the hotel parking or in the special parking place. Please don’t park at the entrances – places reserved for the festival crew & artists.

Chose a flight to Timișoara (140 km from the aeroport to Gărâna), to Budapest (433 km from the airport to Gărâna) or Belgrad (254 km to Gărâna).

Festival people are friendly people. Helping each other has always been a characteristic of the Gărâna community. So if you’re looking for a ride or need a companion to get there, make sure you post a message on one of the festival’s groups or official events page.

Comercial Area

There are plenty of places to eat in the festival area, during the day time or nightime. VERY IMPORTANT: there are no ATM’s around so make sure you have Romanian LEI in your wallet.

To enjoy the festival experience to the maximum, make sure to pack this festival kit:

Clothes and Accesories

Casual clothes for the daytime, swimming suite, sun lotion (2 beautiful lakes are waiting to be discovered). Nightime: very cozy clothes, jumpsuits, sweaters, rubberboats and raincoats. Also, please pack any kind of anti-rain proiection – it will be very useful. If you chose to camp, don’t forget all the necessary equipment: mattresses, sleeping pads, sleeping bags.

It is the most popular accommodation option, we recommended it for those of you very fond of nature. There is no private camping but tents are allowed on the hills surrounding the festival venue or in the locals’ court yard.

Make sure to book your accommodation al least three months before the festival, preferably starting April. We recommend accommodation in Gărâna, Văliug, Crivaia or even Reșita (if you have a car). You can also explore the possibility of staying in local houses – people are frinedly and losts of them offer accomodation.

3 beautiful lakes are surrounding the festival venue: 3 ape, Văliug and Breazova. The first two are suited for bathing, while Breazova will make for a wild view to admire.
